Payment + Cancellation Policy

The registration deposit is non-refundable for any reason. Balance will be due 120 days prior to tour start. This trip is priced using the current exchange rate. If the dollar drops significantly between now and the trip date, there may be a surcharge added to this trip to cover the exchange rate difference. 

We have a firm cancellation policy and would hate to see you lose money. It is highly recommended that you purchase travel insurance that will cover your costs in case of cancellation or a medical emergency during your trip. 

  • Any cancellations made before 120 will result in loss of your deposit.
  • Any cancellation made between 90-119 days will result in a 25% total loss of your funds paid. 
  • Any cancellation made between 60-89 days before will result in in a 50% total loss of your funds paid.
  • Any cancellation made between 0-59 days before departure will result in a total loss of funds.

 

All cancellations must be made in writing to info@photoencaustic.com.

Cultural & Destination Specialists, Inc., d/b/a Taylor & O’Neill and Clare O’Neill reserves the right to cancel any workshop/trip prior to departure for any reason whatsoever, including an insufficient number of participants or logistical problems (e.g. acts of God, war, strikes, etc.), which may impede trip operations.  A workshop/trip cancellation simply due to insufficient numbers (based on us not being able to fill the trip) will be determined at least 60 days prior to departure and result in a full refund. A workshop/trip cancellation based on acts of God, war, strikes, or other events that may impede our departure causing large numbers of participants to cancel participation in the last days before departure will result in a refund of payments as described in the paragraph below shall release Cultural & Destination Specialists, Inc., d/b/a Taylor & O’Neill, and Clare O’Neill from any further liability. 

Cultural & Destination Specialists, Inc., d/b/a Taylor & O’Neill, and Clare O’Neill must make substantial payments to suppliers far in advance of the scheduled date on the travel.  If the workshop/trip is cancelled due to forces beyond our control (acts of God, war, labor strikes, earthquake, flooding, etc.), Cultural & Destination Specialists, Inc., d/b/a Taylor & O’Neill, and Clare O’Neill will promptly refund the portion of the retreat cost not advanced to suppliers. Cultural & Destination Specialists, Inc., d/b/a Taylor & O’Neill, and Clare O’Neill will use their best efforts to recover advance payments as promptly as possible, and will refund to you the amount recovered, if any.  However, Cultural & Destination Specialists, Inc., d/b/a Taylor & O’Neill, and Clare O’Neill does not guarantee recovery of any or all the advance payments made. 

Cultural & Destination Specialists, Inc., d/b/a Taylor & O’Neill is not responsible for reimbursement of non-refundable airline tickets or other travel related expenses in the event of a workshop/trip cancellation. Again, please purchase travel insurance
